Age Friendly East Lindsey
An Age-friendly Community is a place where people of all ages are able to live healthy and active later lives. These places make it possible for people to continue to stay living in their homes, participate in the activities that they value, and contribute to their communities, for as long as possible.
In November 2021 East Lindsey was successful in becoming a member of the WHO Global Network of Age Friendly Cities & Communities, with the common vision of making their community a great place to grow old in.
Refreshments will be available at the end of the Speaker meetings.
As an active u3a, with regular monthly meetings, and Activity Groups to get involved with, we look forward to welcoming you at our next meeting, usually held on first Tuesday of the month. 10am at Stanhope Hall. Derek Smith - Chairman Horncastle u3a.

New Group
A new Sunday Lunch group has been started, "Sassy Munchers", good food, and conversation. Meeting every 2nd Sunday in the month. See group list for full details.
Dear member of Horncastle u3a
Subscriptions are due 1st April. We are pleased to be able to announce that we have been able to hold the cost to £15. We have done this by using the Gift Aid scheme which allows us to claim 25% of the cost back for all UK tax payers. Gift Aid forms are available at the Monthly Meetings from the Membership Secretary.

There's a possibility of a regular bus service between Horncastle and Woodhall Spa.
Discussions are underway, and if the service provision is approved then the service could be in place by the summer of 2026.
A volunteer in needed to lead the Visiting Gardens group.
Currently the Visiting Gardens group is closed until a volunteer is available.
A volunteer Newsletter Editor is urgently required.
The very popular quarterly Newsletter is unable to be published without an Editor.
This Notice board page will be continually updated with the latest news from the Groups, and the Committee.
Currently the plan is to produce an annual "bumper" Newsletter paper magazine in April of each year.
